London Photographer Gillray's Steakhouse
London Party Photographer Gillray’s Steakhouse

Here’s my very first job of 2019 as London Party Photographer Gillray’s Steakhouse.

No sooner had the bells of neighbouring Big Ben chimed in the New Year, I was London bound ready for my very first job of the year. Family and friends from all around the world had gathered at this beautiful venue to celebrate a very special occasion.

Gillray’s is known as the best steakhouse on London’s Southbank.  It is handily located at London Marriott, County Hall. Designed by architect Ralph Knott, County Hall was officially opened by King George V and Queen Mary on 17 July 1922.

For 64 years, County Hall served as the headquarters of local government for London, initially the London County Council and later the Greater London Council.

Did I mention the breathtaking panoramic views across the Thames of the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye?

Like most of my party work, this shot was totally unstaged and unplanned. It simply happened. One shot, one chance to get it right before the moment was gone – my favourite method of capturing parties!
