Party Photography London
Here’s another image from my series of Party Photography London images.
There will be a full portfolio blog of this 25th birthday fancy dress party soon (and boy, was it a good one!) In the meantime here’s one of my personal favourites.
I try to use as little flash as possible in nightclubs in order to preserve as much of the party atmosphere. This is sometimes very difficult as by definition, nightclubs are generally dark!
I don’t like going to an event with flashguns ablazin’ as it is way too intrusive for my style. As a party photographer I am invited to capture the entertainment, not to be part of it. So consequently I tend to keep a low profile when working.
That way guests look natural and tend not to ‘play up’ to the camera when they see me.
These two lovelies were part of the evening’s entertainment (more on that when I blog the whole party) and had the confident air of those who aren’t afraid to stare straight into the camera lens – I love a bit of attitude!
