Virgin Media Headshot Photography

Recently the lovely people at Virgin Media Business got in touch as they wanted business portraits for their attendees at the Birmingham leg of their Voom Tour 2017. Headshot photography can tend to be a bit dull and boring, and a lot of that has to do with the environment in which business portraits are shot, so I was very luck to be invited along to The Custard Factory in Birmingham’s creative quarter to shoot.

I had been to The Custard Factory before and experienced its unique feel, and knew it could be an inspiring venue in which to capture creative business portraits. The Virgin Voom bus was parked beneath the graceful Victorian arches of the Bordesley Viaduct and alongside the abutting Grand Union Canal, serving as a permanent reminder of the areas rich industrial heritage. These days the area is home to more than 400 creative and digital businesses, independent retail and leisure venues and is a hub of creative talent.

The Virgin Voom Tour is a festival of business and Voom Pitch gives start-ups the chance to pitch to Richard Branson and win a share of £1million in prizes. The bus toured all around the UK and Ireland and gave attendees the chance to add a little extra #VOOM to their business. They could also enter the mini pitch competition (which was really informative and entertaining) and pick up tips from a bunch of talented experts.

My job was to photograph the entrepreneurs with The Custard Factory and its’ surroundings forming an impressive and stimulating backdrop with its combination of Victorian brickwork and 21st century colourful graffiti.

It was such good fun meeting lots of new interesting, creative people and capturing their portraits! See more of my Headshot photography here or contact me if you would like me to shoot your business portraits!
